A co-author and some missing photos

My sister is in a sharing mood today.  Lo must be asleep.  This will be a photo post so I'll say my sister is the co-author of this one. :)

This photo must be old because this was taken while Daddy and I were on a date and I can't really remember when that was. Thanks, Grandma Earline and Grandpa Ed for this cute outfit all the way from Maui with love!


I'm not going to lie.  She hates headbands now.

It makes a mommy sad to know her daughter really thinks "Al-Mo" can hear her talking back.  It's almost a good thing he can't because sometimes I think she's lecturing him.  :/





I'll use my sister's subject line for these pics- Worst diaper change ever.  Aren't they all, though?



Nothing a little Filipino spaghetti can't fix.




It's true.  She's a DIVA...who needs her stroller inside the house.  With grandchildren it's okay.  If I were to insist bringing my car into my parents' house, they would flip, I'm sure.


Judging from these photos I now know why I'm rarely in any pictures:

1-I have a ton of stains from Bug's food all over me.
2-I pretty much wear the same outfits every weekend.  You'd swear they were all taken the same day.  Oh, post-pregnancy/new mommy problems.

4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 month Cub (9, 10, 11 too)

Clearly I've missed a few monthly updates of the Cub.  I apologize.  We were busy and life has literally taken us for a whirlwind ride.  To be really honest, I lost a lot of motivation to write these past few months because I've every time I started to write, all I could think to write about was my grandpa, Papang, how much I've missed him, and the endless tears that came out when I thought of him.  Every time I reflected back on the moments with my kids and my family, I seemed to cry, thinking of how much he's missed even in the short 5 months he's been gone.  After months of tears and prayers, I feel like I'm officially starting to feel like I'm healing.  While I know I may not heal completely, I can function without tears flowing from my eyes every moment of silence. "Thank you for being a friend..."

This morning, Rue McClanahan, who played Blanche Devereaux on my favorite show, The Golden Girls, passed away. If you know me, you could understand how upset I might be.  (Quote from Blanche:  " There is a fine line between having a good time and being a wanton slut. I know. My toe has been on that line." ) The Golden Girls was, is and will always be my favorite show...EVER. Within the last few years, both Estelle Getty (who played Sophia) and Bea Arthur (who played Dorothy) passed away as well and that in itself was a tragedy; for we all know what an amazing duo they made!    (Quote fro...

What if...

I was on the phone today with my brother, Kyle, and was telling him about my emotionally charged moment in a parking lot as I dropped off the hubs at work after having lunch with him.  As I drove through the aisle of the parking lot, a parked car quickly backed out of it's spot without looking.  My natural instinct, of course, was to stop, rather than move forward.  Thankfully, however, the car quickly stopped itself from hitting the front passenger side of my car, where the hubs was sitting.  I pulled into a spot to calm myself down.  My heart was racing.  Wyatt turned to me and asked, "Are you okay?"  I just could not find the words to respond.  (Strange, I know.)  I was breathing so heavily and I think he realized I was about to freak out and said, "We're fine.  She didn't hit us."  He was right.  The driver had stopped quickly enough and everyone was safe.  However, I still could not get myself to calm down.  3, 2...
