Bellies and buttons

The thing about being pregnant that used to make me nervous was the protruding belly button.  I realize that some people (even pre-pregnancy) have protruding belly buttons.  I for one, have never really given them a second look (or thought)...until I saw my other mommy friends' tummies and how much that button can really come out.  So of course when I got pregnant, as superficial as this may sound, that was my very first worry.  (It's shameful, but I'll admit it.)  During the first trimester and a half, I had forgotten about this fear until one of my girlfriends who is also expecting hit week 20-something.  She briefly mentioned her belly button leaving her.  Since she is only a few weeks ahead of me, I waited for the day my belly button would leave me as well.  Well, I'm now at week 29 and still nothing.  Although my belly button has not begun to protrude (secretly thankful for this), there's still not much room in there.  I guess when...

Mr. & Mrs. Kevin Kelly!

This weekend the hubs and I attended a wedding for a very special friend, Jessica.  Jessica and Wyatt were both in the same religious study group, preparing for confirmation.  We are so blessed to have walked away from that group with such an amazing friend and this wedding was a testimonial of what loving people Jessica and Kevin are.  They are both Christ loving people and have so much to give not only to each other, but to everyone around them.  From the church ceremony to the reception, I think we were both on the verge of tears every few minutes.  We're so glad we were able to witness a wedding so full of love, so many people (but still so intimate).  Congrats to Kevin & Jessica!  We love you guys! Baby Ella and Auntie Jess. :) God Bless, Kat
