Name Choosing

How Ninang and Ninong chose baby Lo's name.  (Actually, Bug did it.) :) God Bless, Kat

New Things

New things. 1- Apparently she knows how to play pretend.  We had no clue.  Parental FAIL.  :/  Now that we do know, we're all about it. 2- Taking initiative and helping with the laundry...even if sometimes it ends up on her head instead of inside the drawers.  Sometimes I wonder where her parents are. We still have time to cheer ourselves on in the mirror. 3- We rode a pony at the church BBQ.  Don't be fooled by this face that shows no emotion.  She loved it. 4- Mommy hangs in the tub with Bug now.  Bonding time.  :)  "Mama?  In?" [Hands Mommy her bathing suit.]  How can I say no? 5- Bug loves putting on her boots...even the ones that are too big on her. Then she cries about how she can't get them off. And cries some more even though we already took them off. Two seconds after that, she's fine.  WOW. I love this kid.  She litera...

A Bug and a Lo-Bear.

We've been hanging with baby Lo and someone is becoming a bit jea-lous...so much so that she is regressing...back to a baby. In what is now Lo's Bumbo, with Lo's rattle.  Someone is trying so hard to be a baby again.  Trust me, baby.  Mommy wants you to be a baby again too.  So bad. Up until now Buggy hasn't really paid much attention to Lo.  However, now that Lo is moving, she is way more interesting. Lo is even funny. Ah-ha!  Something Lo cannot do yet-roll over...YET. I'm pretty sure once Lo begins to move, Bug is hoping to gain a follower.  :/ Lo-Bear is gorgeous.  Just putting it out there. I can't wait to see these two grow up together.  God Bless, Kat

Guest Appearance

This post is another special update on my niece/Goddaughter, Lo.  Check out Lo's new moves.  Chin up! (I did not take any of these photos, nor was I present for Lo's big accomplishment.  I borrowed all these photos from my brother and felt I needed to share/brag about this.) Not even my kid and I cried.  WAH!  That is my sister/Lo's mommy, motivating her baby.  Isn't that the job of a mommy?  To motivate your kid?  Well, great job, mommy.  Now she's really going to grow up.  Next is sitting up, then crawling, then walking, then running.  WAH!  I am very much against all of this. Just because she's so cute you get to see more photos! Party! Throwing punches.  Quite possibly pooping.  I wouldn't know.  I wasn't there.  :/ Don't you just want to bite her!?!??!   God Bless, Kat

Saving Graces

This Saturday was a first for us.  It was the first time the hubs and I attended a wedding with a Bug.  The short version of the story is that Bug did not nap.  Not once.  Not even for 5 seconds.  You can only imagine what the long version was like.  Our only saving graces from a tantrum-prone Bug were two twins, a coloring book, a big cousin who can now carry Bug (which saved Mommy and Daddy's arms), and a DJ. Before I show pictures, I should give credit to my brother for taking them because for the first time ever, I was camera-less.  :/  I didn't even get a chance to snap photos with my phone.  Hey, I had to bring a Bug to a wedding and I did not know what I was in for.  I couldn't let a camera hold me back from my Mommy duties. (Did you know my phone battery lasts almost two days when I'm with my family?  Obviously we know who I'm in constant contact with.)  My cousin, John and his beautiful wife, Rachel! Th...

#BigGirlProblems

It's a sad day when I use a hashtag for the title of my blog.  Oh well! Last Sunday we finally got Bug her first big girl car seat.  She's still rear-facing since she's so tiny, but it has a whole lot more room than her infant one. Technically she still fits in the infant one, but rather than throwing down $300-$400 on two big girl car seats, we decided to buy one first.  That way, Daddy can still take Bug to day care in her infant one (since she is still well within the height and weight requirements).  Let's face it- car seats are expensive and if we don't have to upgrade to the big girl one just yet, we won't.  The only real reason we bought it was because in about a month, we'll be make a 14-hour road trip to Oregon and we wanted to drive there in peace.  In case you were unaware, when Bug is in her infant car seat for more than 10 minutes, she tries to get out and she screams until she falls asleep.  (Anyone want to take a ride with us?)...
