Pictures are not enough.

Picture Update!

Picture update! Uncle Kris is finally back from his 40-day vacation and one of the first things he did was see his little Bug!  Bug did a lot of growing while Uncle Kris was gone.  She was almost an entirely different person!  A big girl to say the least...with lots of words. Dancing outside the Zumba studio. Baby Kaelyn's baptism...  ...and reception at the park! I don't know if I've mentioned it yet, but my grandpa (Papang) has been in a nursing facility for awhile now due to some health issues.  Because the family and I have been sick on and off for the last three weeks, last weekend was the first time we felt comfortable enough to visit him without infecting him with whatever cold one of us had.   My brother and his family were able to come down from Sacramento to visit Papang too.  I know he appreciated that.  I'll be honest.  It's been tough for all of us to see Papang in this condition.  ...

I've been slacking off on blogs lately.  One each week?  Insane.  There's so much going on in our D. family world, I feel kind of bad for not sharing.  Forgive me.  I've been chasing someone around the house and trying to calm the flames of her tantrum fires.  (In case you were wondering, I'm unsuccessful 50% of the time, but let's look at the positive- the other 50% of the time, I am successful.)  Sometimes there aren't even any tantrums.  There are just a ton of discussions happening between two adults and one stubborn Bug. Like that one time we got home from day care and she refused to get out of the car seat. Last week, Bug and I went to see Tita Ingrid and Tito Peter at their place, just 2 minutes from our's!  Woohoo!  It's so nice to have them nearby! Organizing Tito Peter's closet. Reverting back to babyhood. Learning to walk in Tita Ingrid's heels...and she took her purse. Glam time. ...

Gram-Ma!

It's been a very rough week.  Last Tuesday night the hubs and I woke up in the middle of the night to Bug throwing up in her crib...and she had a fever.  Gah!  Obviously she wasn't going to school the next day.   Just that day, she had been fine, playing and talking up a storm. We're not sure what happened Tuesday night, but whatever it was, was the beginning of what seemed like a never-ending sick Bug.  Wednesday morning Bug had the day off from school to recover and Mommy was there to witness a short-lived recovery.  She was fine all Wednesday morning and although she was still a bit tired, she was as happy as could be. She was feeling so good she stood in front of the Starbucks door for half an hour, saying goodbye to everyone who walked out. Then after her afternoon nap, another fever began. So we spent the rest of the afternoon trying to recover.  Eating was definitely not in the cards.  She refused ...
