Toddlers & Tiaras

Sometimes when you can't walk (let alone run), it's hard to escape your crazy Ma-Ma and Ninang. While putting things away in boxes, my sister and I found her tiara and sash from her bachelorette party.  The only proper thing to do was dress Bug up.  :)  She didn't even touch it...not once. Are you telling me you don't want to be in a pageant? (Da-Da has already rejected that idea, don't worry.)  Apparently Bug rejects the idea too. Extra pics!  (Yes, I did make that headband that matches perfectly to that outfit.) God Bless, Kat

Typical

We love spending time with our families.  This weekend, after having some family time, just the three of us, we got to spend some quality time with Uncle Scott, Ninang, and Ninong. Bug waiting with Ma-Ma and Da-Da at Toyota, while the car got serviced.  She was so good on Saturday morning!  They said the car would take two hours, so we decided to leave it and walk around Pasadena.  When we got back to the dealership, it took another hour and a half and the car was already done! The entire time, Bug made some friends at the dealership and hung out in the stroller, talking...LOUDLY. After the car was done, we went to have lunch with Uncle Scott.  Unfortunately, I have no pics with Uncle Scott.  Parental FAIL.  I charged my camera just for that and nothin'.  Nada.  I apologize.  After lunch with Uncle Scott, we went to keep Ninang and Ninong company.  Although Bug caught a fever that night, she was still in a semi-chipper ...

A Day In The Life

This girl wants to mooooove! Caught ya'!  Time to roll through the random photos I've collected of Bug that you may or may not have seen (depending on whether some of you have FB or not).  Enjoy! Da-Da has been home every day before bed time so he has lots of play time with Bug.  This girl loves her stuffed animals.  First thing she does when she sees them is look hard at their noses, then kisses them.  She's so cute! Like I've said before...a lot goes on before Dad gets home.  Here are some clips of the fun.  That HUGE head! I love that you can only see her cheeks.  They're so squooshable!  How do you say no to this cutie pie?  Darn those cheeks!  Oh yeah. There was this one day when I was late coming home from a conference and Da-Da had to pick up Bug from day care and put her to bed.  Around 8pm, I was almost home and found this tired Da-Da walking Bug to get her to calm down and go to bed. ...

THUNK!

I'm exhausted.  (You'll hear me say this often, so get ready.)  After months and months of Bug sleeping roughly 10-12 hours a night STRAIGHT, she has decided to flip it on us.  I'm almost sad that she got us used to those long hours of sleep-FULL nights.  Now we feel like we're dealing with a newborn again...except this time...she's got a bigger and much louder voice.  She's still cute, though and that's probably the only reason why this tired Mama is still going and has not lost her patience.  Why this flip?  I'm not sure, but I've tried to assess the situation.  (I do work in a research and assessment department, after all.  Ha!)   A couple of weeks ago I received a baby-know-it-all-update email that said around this time, Bug would be undergoing "some" separation anxiety.  Judging from this baby, I'm pretty sure that was a typo and they meant A LOT, not some.  It's a lot.  Bug has A LOT of separation anxiet...

Privileges

Happy Monday!  This weekend I had a bridal shower to attend in Orange County.  A few days before, the hubs and I decided it would be a good idea to leave Bug with my parents overnight so that we could have some uninterrupted time together.  To add to it all, the hubs and I both had Friday off (yahoo!) so we got to run errands together...babyLESS.  It's been awhile.  We got so much accomplished!  I forgot what it felt like to get all your errands done in one day, let alone one morning!   My date for the day. Since we knew we'd be away for the weekend, we picked up Bug from day care and let her skip half the day so she could hang with her parents (something she'll probably outgrow soon enough, anyway).   Mama and Bug time at Starbucks.  Did I mention how much this girl loves Starbucks already?  She gets so excited to see that green straw! Bridal shower for Dr. Amanda! :) After the bridal shower, the hubs and ...

Trouble

She is learning so much. 1. How to stand.  Wait, did you say crawling?  Oh, no.  She would rather stand.  God forbid she should be on her tummy longer than 30 seconds.  The girl goes bananas.  2. Remember that basket that houses the toys and extra diapers and wipes for the living room? Well, it lasted umm...2 hours...until she found it.  CAUGHT IN THE ACT.   There's always time for a little Bravo TV break...even when hunting for toys.  Great.  Now Daddy is teaching her how to get it.  All by herself.  The only thing preventing our house from Bug's destruction is the fact that she can't walk/crawl.  We have about 0.5 seconds to baby proof.  We're in for some trouble.  Mama love.  God Bless, Kat
