We are so blessed.

Hello.  It's me.  Seriously, where have we been, right?  I KNOW.  I've been thinking the same thing.  After some long conversations on our road trip up to Oregon this last Christmas, we decided not to renew our lease in our existing apartment.  After some management issues (or lack thereof- issues would mean there was some response on their end and after several different management companies taking over...well...you get it...), we're not renewing our lease.  So, we put in our 30-day notice and we're still looking for a new place.  Until we find this so-called new place, we'll be having an extended vacation at Mama and Papa's house starting this Friday.  So all our stuff is currently in storage and we've been living off of our air mattress. It's not as bad as it sounds, especially because we put ourselves in this situation.  We have complete control so hopefully we'll be able to find a place in a couple of weeks. So, THAT is why the...

Instagram Holidays

I catch a ton of shots on my camera phone.  As crappy as it is, it's what's on hand and you can pretty much get a complete glimpse of my everyday with it.  So, here's what I collected over the holiday break. Before we left, I had to get the car serviced-- something the hubs normally does.  While waiting for the car, I managed to get in some mommy alone time-- an entire meal of a breakfast panini and Starbucks.  I posted this on Facebook and one of my friends said, "You know you're a mom when you consider alone time waiting for the car to get serviced."  Truth.  Remember those Christmas cards that almost never went out?  Thanks to my brother, Kris for designing them and placing the order, my sister for helping me pick them up, label them, and seal them. They went out the day before we left for Oregon.  I did get a few back.  At first I thought it was a fluke, but then I started to get messages from friends telling me they received the...

There's just something about it.

We're back from another holiday road trip to Oregon.  On our way home, the hubs and I estimated how many road trips to and from Northern California and Oregon Bug has been on and it turns out that she has traveled a minimum of 7,000 miles in the car going north.  She is an all star on the road and this trip was no exception. There's just something about Grandma and GPa's house.  Well, there are lots of things about going to Grandma and GPa's house that make our time there so special. 1- Their home is filled with all the things we need to entertain a toddler for up to a year.  2- All of the neighbors already know who Bug is and show her so much love.  Here's Grandma walking Bug down the street to meet the neighbors.  3- We can visit a reindeer, elk, alpaca, and pig farm all in one day, within half an hour of their house. 4- There is an endless supply of sweets.  5- No matter how few times during the year we see them,...
