Mother of Butter!

This is Paula. She LOVES butter. She is the "MOTHER OF BUTTER".  This woman can add butter to anything!  Recently, while searching for some new and improved ways of making chicken soup, I ran across Paula's recipe which consisted of 2 entire sticks of butter!  I was astonished.  This is the only woman in the world who needs 2 sticks of butter to sautee vegetables for chicken soup! God Bless, Kat

Memories

Every once in awhile, you'll find me posting old pictures...old memories... This one is from the first month Wyatt and I dated, the first time he met my ENTIRE family (extended included), at my twin nieces' birthday party. I mean, really...WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? God Bless, Kat

A White Thanksgiving

The day before Thanksgiving, Wyatt and I drove to Sacramento after work, for the first half of our Thanksgiving drive.  We stayed at my brother's house overnight and quickly headed to Medford, OR the next morning.  We spent Thanksgiving with Wyatt's dad, stepmom, Mickie, Heather, Ben and the girls.  (Thank you, Bagley family for the wonderful turkey and stuffing!).  The girls all wanting some love from TaTa. Even Jackson wanted in! Rylee teaching Wyatt and Jackson a thing or two... Woke up the next morning to snow falling! Our poor little Camry was deathly cold! Wyatt has not seen this in a very long time... Dad & Mickie's house The garage... The backyard.... Wyatt's trying to figure out how to put the chains on...apparently we need 'em! What a blessing to be able to make it up north to spend the holidays with Wyatt's family and even more of a blessing we made it home from all that snow!  :)  God Bless, Kat

Obsessed

I am obsessed with collecting photos from all of my wedding events.  I'm dreaming of one day getting my act together and saving enough money to actually print out the photos and make a photo album.  (I'm workin' on it!)  For now, happy updates on photos I've randomly stumbled upon and never have seen will have to keep my motivation going... Enoy! God Bless, Kat

Sharing is caring

We're quickly approaching the holidays and this will be the first year that Wyatt and I will be splitting up the holidays between all three sets of parents.  With the holidays being so close to the wedding last year, we were unable to travel for the holidays and my family got the big three:  Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.  This year, however, they're going to have to share.  Our holiday schedule will be as follows: Thanksgiving with Dad, Mickie, and the always loving Bagley family in Medford, Oregon.  From the picture messages I've been receiving, it looks like "white Christmas" has made an early appearance.  I can't wait.  (We'll definitely be stopping by my brother and sister-in-law's house in Sacramento to drop off Christmas gifts for my nieces.) Christmas will be in Arizona, at Wyatt's stepsister, Kristin and her husband, Jason's house.  Wyatt's mom and Gary will be flying in a few days before we arrive.  New Years Eve wi...

Once a bride

After planning my own wedding, I'm finally glad to take a step back and witness the wedding planning process of what seems like a million (okay, exaggeration, but still A LOT ) of my friends who are about to get married in 2011.  Although I can look back on my wedding planning process as one of the most hectic, but memorable times in my life, I'm happy to say that it's over.  After the wedding came the holidays, lots of travelling, apartment hunting, moving in, buying a new car, and adopting a snobby cat, Wyatt and I are finally settling into a routine... FINALLY . This year, I'm enjoying witnessing the love my friends have for their soon-to-be-spouses.  Last weekend I attended a bridal shower for my sorority sister, Kimi.  I love going to these showers, especially because it's like a mini-reunion for all my sorority sisters.  Now that we're not in college, it's hard to find the time to get together as a large group.  I thought I'd share some pics... ...

These girls!

Are my nieces cute, or what?!?!?! Just some shots from my photoshoot with Madysen. (She's the only one who stood still long enough.) I love these girls. God Bless, Kat

Pumpkin patchin' it

This blog is sooo late.  I've taken a liking to using my dad's SLR camera, so editing photos (or even obtaining them) has been a challenge.  Better late than never, right? In October most families get together, head to a pumpkin patch, choose their pumpkins, take them home, and carve some amazing designs.  This was not my family.  I can only remember two times in my life where my family actually carved pumpkins on Halloween ( and I'm pretty sure one of those memories I made up ).  This year my sister and I planned a trip to the pumpkin patch.  However, instead of taking children like everyone else (because neither of us have any...yet), we took our parents. :) Seriously, THE BEST pumpkins we've ever done. God Bless, Kat

Newly married, now what?

This is kind of a different blog. I'm going to "go Jesus" on you today.  By that I mean, today's blog is one of those that's going to focus on my faith and cheer Jesus on- hence, "Go Jesus!"  Last night, Wyatt and I attended a dinner at the Cathedral (where we got married), with the priest who married us (Fr. Francis), the monsignor (Monsignor Kevin), and 9 other newly married couples.  We were invited by Fr. Francis to join these select couples to form a young married couples group- a fellowship of newly married couples who could share their experiences with one another.  There is already a group for married couples called Couples for Christ, but the issues they deal with seem to be different from the issues newly married couples have to deal with.  So this group is somewhat of a spin-off of Couples for Christ.  It's distinctly for young newly married couples (1-7 years).  I have prayed so long for a group like this- a place where we could...

Never missed a beat...

My cousin, Ann is probably one of the most caring people I know in this world.  She prays for everyone, loves everyone, listens to everyone, and even all the way in the Philippines, is able to care for us emotionally.  After 21 years of being apart, we were finally able to reunite during her short stay in America for a business trip.  I was 4 or 5 years old when I left the Philippines, but it feels like we never even missed a beat.  I'm going to be sad when she leaves in a couple of days. She's pretty amazing... God Bless, Kat

One year down...

This weekend, Wyatt and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary.  YES, it's already been a year.  It feels pretty unbelievable, I know.  In the midst of our hectic schedules and family in town, we managed to get away for just one night, to San Diego.  One year down, forever to go... "...Oh I can't believe I finally found you baby Happy ever after, after all this time Oh there's gonna be some ups and downs but with you to wrap my arms around I'm fine So baby, hold on tight Don't let go Hold onto the love we're making Cause baby when the ground starts shakin You gotta know when you've got a good thing You know you keep on bringin' out the best in me And I need you now even more than the air I breathe You can make me laugh when I wanna cry This will last forever I just know, I know..." ~Lady Antebellum Before check-in, we decided to walk down the street to Petco Park. Love, love, LOVE Downtown San Diego. Some man insisted we take...
