A Dress!

Random photo session with Bug in her new skirt!  She hates dresses so I thought this would be one of the few times we could get this on camera without her throwing a fit as she tries to take off the dress. :) Don't mind the drool.  She's brushing her teeth. This are the "before pics". Don't mind her hair. Disney baby.  Aren't we all?  Maybe she thinks she's looking in the mirror when she sees Rollie Pollie Ollie. And THAT is how you keep a walking baby from standing a foot from the TV.  You put all the pillows in your house, as well as the baby jumper in front of it. God Bless, Kat

Pulling a Britney

Here's the deal.  Bug's got some chubby feet.  It's deceiving because despite all the chub, her feet are actually tiny.  They're also not the same size.  Two feet, two different sizes.  I get it.  No one's feet are exactly the same size, but does one of your shoes fall off because it's that much smaller than the other?  Oh good.  I didn't think so.  One of Bug's feet (I can't remember which one at the moment) always comes out of her shoes if they're not strappy sandals.  Sneakers?  Forget it.  This really bothers me because not only did we lose the one pair of shoes that didn't fall off one foot, but when we went to replace them, they had none in her size.  All the other shoes we've tried just don't cut it.  This is sad because someone is on the move and never wants to be held and to be honest with you, I'm not too keen on letting her pull a  Britney Spears and walk the streets barefoot. Don't worry, tw...

Ahead of the Game

I am feeling quite accomplished today.  I received the monthly newsletter from day care and I am excited about something only a mother could be excited about... This month the Twinkling Stars (ages 0-2 years) (a.k.a. Bug's crew) will be: 1- Learning about the letter "C".  It just so happens that Bug has been learning about "C", as we have been singing the "C is for cookie" song from Sesame Street with Cookie Monster over and over and over again...for two weeks now. 2- Singing The Itsy Bitsy Spider, Old MacDonald Had a Farm, Twinkle Little Stars.  It just so happens that Bug is a pro at Twinkle Little Stars.  We have been singing it since birth.  And Old MacDonald?!  Forget it!  Bug has been practicing her animal sounds for at least two months.  She is going to LOVE singing this song since she is such a great copycat at animal sound making.  (Itsy Bitsy Spider I'm not so sure of since she's not a huge fan of it.  She'll sit t...

Bug's 1st Birthday Play Date

Every month we get together with our church group for a play date.  We hosted this month's play date at Mama and Papa's house and decided to celebrate Bug's birthday with all her little friends.  Bug usually takes ZERO naps a day when she's with us, unless she's in the car.  On the day of her play date, however, she decided to take a nap...right in the middle of the party.  Of course!  Perfect timing.  So really, Mommy and Daddy had a play date with some cutie pies!  She took such a long nap that we even had to wake her up for cake.   Before her buddies got there, Bug and Daddy tried out her new bubble machine! These two...so analytical. Birthday girl- PRE-nap time. Mommy and Lucas  Zoe Grayson Ava and Zoe Bug!  Nice of you to join us!  Nice nap? Getting ...
