The other day the hubs told me he volunteered to bring chili to work for his office's annual chili potluck. I assumed he volunteered me because I have never seen the hubs cook anything from scratch. So yesterday I looked up some recipes I could tweak to make my own and found one with a review that read... "My husband has been making this recipe for his work's chili contest for 13 years and has won every year." How could I not try it after reading that review? Now, I LOVE chili. That's precisely the reason I don't attempt to make it because as we all know, it is very hard to make a good, thick chili with just enough spice and kick.
