We've hit a milestone in Bug's life- NOT sharing. When we celebrated my grandmother's 75th birthday, my cousins were there and brought my Goddaughter, Sophia. Sophia was playing with Bug's toy (a toy that wasn't even under her radar until Sophia had it) and Bug quickly frowned, stared at her, and growled. Awesome. I knew the sharing phase had hit us. So began the lessons on sharing (or not sharing).
The next day I picked up Bug from day care and the teachers informed me that Bug refused to share with the other kids during circle time. It was the first time they had seen this side of her. Then they informed me that baby girl L (2 months older than Bug) wanted to play with her. Usually, baby girl L's hugs are well-received by Bug, but that day they weren't. That day, Bug pushed baby girl L down. ::GASP!:: Yes...she pushed her. Uuuugh! Please! Can we just skip this stage? Apparently not because when I picked her up yesterday, I got the same report card. We've got a lot to teach (and learn!).
This morning. Bug demanding we take her out of her crib. It's amazing how with all that whining she had time to pick up a toy.
Then all of a sudden things were better. Imagine that!
Still tired, obviously.
Someone has a ponytail! (Actually, it's only holding the mullet together.)
TIRED.
Obviously this Bug and butterfly are inseparable!
Although we have moments where sharing is an issue, for the most part, Bug is a pretty generous kid. She shares lots of kisses and lots of toys...just not her favorite ones. :)
God Bless,
Kat
