It was another fun and busy weekend for the D. family. Surprised? Well, everyone we know is celebrating something and we are so blessed to be part of the special times in their lives.
On Saturday we woke up early to catch the weekly neighborhood classic car "show". A group of people in our neighborhood get together early every Saturday morning in the large parking lot of the United Artist Theater (Why not, right?) and show off their classic cars. Because we're always on the go and so busy on the weekend, we miss it and Daddy only catches a glimpse of it as we drive off on the freeway. So this Saturday, we went for Daddy. (We missed it Father's Day weekend because we all slept in.)
I'm pretty sure Bug's got the better ride here.
Daddy will be teaching Bug all the facts about classic cars. :)
Men and their cars! Checking out what's under the hood. Men! :P
All of Daddy's dreams come true.
This cute little couple held hands the entire time they were walking around. I'm pretty sure this is the original school girl outfit from their high school years. :) It's always an inspiration to see people still so in love at this age.
After the car show we headed to the park to meet up with Tita Ingrid, Tita Nara...
...Tito Peter, and Uncle Phil.
There's Daddy, pushing Bug on the swing.
Uncle Phil took some shots of Bug because he's a great photographer. :)
Then we headed to baby Kendall's baptism party.

Tell me this face doesn't just make you want to you die! She is so cute!
Mommy and baby Kendall.
Unfortunately, on Friday night my Grandpa wasn't feeling well and was readmitted into the hospital. This happened while at my parents' house so at least he was nearby and we got a chance to spend more time with him.
Truly, the cutest, most charming man you'll ever meet...and quite the flirt with all the nurses.
On Sunday I attended my girlfriend, Kimi's baby shower. She's expecting a little baby boy. The blue and green doesn't give it away or anything, right? :)
Erica and Kimi's baby boys will be about 3 weeks apart.
It was a hot. A pregnant woman's gotta put her feet up in the shade. :)
Group shot.
Like I said. It was a fun and busy weekend. :)
I came home from the baby shower yesterday and I was greeted with a fussy Bug and tired Daddy, who babysat for 4 glorious hours while Mommy got to wear a dress, let her hair down, and put on some heels! :) Bug was so tired, she slept from 5:45pm until I don't even know what time this morning because she was still asleep when I left at 6:30am! This weekend was obviously too much fun for her.
Update: Between my sister and girlfriends, we are waiting in anticipation for the arrival of three babies...THREE! My sister is quickly approaching her due date, then Erica and Kimi will be next. I'm so excited! Seeing them all pregnant makes me miss being pregnant. (Don't get any ideas. We're nowhere near planning on baby #2. Have you met Bug?!?! It just makes me miss that belly, believe it, or not!)
The best part of the weekend? I fell asleep on the couch after dinner and when Daddy woke me up to head to the bedroom, he told me that he had prepared Bug's food for day care already. Yahooooo! One less thing I had to do. So I went straight to bed. He's awesome. So blessed. :)
God Bless,
Kat
