I pulled up to day care to pick up Bug yesterday and Miss Nona ran out to my car to rush me in to see what Bug was doing. Check it out!
Bug and her best friend, little L. Miss Nona tells me they are best buds and always play together.
I guess Bug has already found a guy who can make her laugh. :)
That's little J, right there. She loves Bug...so much so that she stands her up, hugs her, and lets her go. That would explain why Bug has quickly fallen to the floor in this pic. Little J has good intentions. My kid has no fear. When she fell right to the floor she didn't even flinch. Ha!
That's little L#2 up front. Even though she is older than Bug, she wears the same size clothes. Some days, even day care mixes them up and when I pick up Bug I notice she has someone else's clothes on. Easy mistake. Between all the cries, hugs, and play time, it's sometimes hard to keep track. Good news- we haven't had this mix up in awhile. (Knock on wood.)
Yesterday we had our first try at finger foods- bananas with a sprinkle of crushed cheerios. Bug did okay. She was unsure about what to do, but once I gave her the okay to put food in her own mouth, instead of using two or three fingers, she started shoveling the food in and it landed right onto her lap. Awesome. By the way, it's kind of tough to get banana and cheerios off of a nice pink dress. Next time, naked finger food time for sure. Until bath time, she pretty much smelled like cheerios, but don't all kids kind of smell like cheerios?
Even with cheerios and bananas all over her, she's gorgeous! (And I'm totally not bias.)
