You know it- the staple food for well, a poor college kid, or a poor just out of college kid.
How Wyatt snuck these into the grocery cart on our last market trip, I have no clue, but I was just not in the mood to fight it. So, we made Ramen.
For years Wyatt has told me how much Ramen he consumed in college and how he knows how to make it. Last night, I found that he makes it incorrectly. How does one mess up ramen? I'm not sure, but it happened. I watched it happen right in front of me.
Directions on the back of the bag:
1- heat 2 cups of water in a pan.
2- place noodles in boiling water for 3 minutes
3- turn off heat and pour in seasoning.
Ideally, the above directions should leave you with noodles and soup. Before I could even begin eating Wyatt looked at me with disgust. "WOW! That's how you make ramen," he exclaimed. Yes, just like the directions say," I responded. "Why does it have so much soup!?" he asked. "Ramen is soup, honey...look at the picture."
Wyatt proceeded to explain to me this (the way the packaging tells you) is not how you make ramen. So he showed me how he does it. People, my husband makes ramen so it's dry! How this is even possible, I'm not sure. He boils very little water and cooks the noodles for way more than 3 minutes and then pours in the seasoning. By the end of the "cooking" process, he has thick sauce. How does one even make the ramen soup into a thick sauce?!
One word: UN-BEL-IEV-A-BLE!
My husband is unbelievable, in more ways than one. :)
God Bless,
Kat
