Today, I'm 24 weeks, which also marks the one week anniversary of sleep deprivation, numbness in the hands from my already-existing-yet-amplified-by-pregnancy carpal tunnel, and one mean cat!
That's right. This blog won't be as jolly as the most of them have been. As thankful as I am for this baby, this has been one very, very, VERY long and tough week to get through. My baby-know-it-all emails have informed me that my carpal tunnel has probably arrived and that, I cannot deny. It's come with a vengence!
Among the other pregnancy symptoms that have hit: insomnia. For one week straight, I have yet to find one full night's sleep. Could it be this basketball that's slowly growing inside of me? Baby Ella has decided that she would like to move at night (all night) and sleep all day while I move. How convenient. Then again, who said kids did things at their parents' convenience, right? :P Practice for parenthood, I guess.
I know this probably isn't (or is it?) pregnancy related, but McKayla has been such a little booger lately! She has quite the attitude. Not only does she scream for us to get up every morning at 5:30am (instead of her usual 6:30am), but when we get home she's not very pleasant either. Do you think she senses the baby coming? Whatever it is, my patience is low for her whining these days.
After spending the first trimester with no appetite, I finally started to gain it back in the 5th month. As I slowly entered the 6th month, I lost it. JUST. LIKE. THAT. GONE. I made so much (SO MUCH!) food this week and poor Wyatt has to eat it alone because apparently, I just don't like it anymore. ::sigh:: Wasted food. What kind of pregnant woman am I that I can't eat? Shameful.
God Bless,
Kat

Dear baby,
When will Mommy get another satisfying meal?
Yet another updated pic of me early in the AM. What can I say, I have no motivation to get "ready" after a sleepless night week, but hey...at least it's updated, right? :) Up until now the updated pictures have been every few weeks, but it seems that my belly is growing at an outrageous rate that I figured I'd have to document it weekly from here on out. (Wish me luck!)
It still amazes me that I've only gained 4-5 pounds and I look like I've gained at least 15!
Oh, baby Ella, I cannot wait to meet you...to hold you, love you...and to get my appetite back. :)
God Bless,
Kat

You are too cute Kat!
