January has been rough. I mean really rough. I am exhausted beyond belief. As soon as we put Bug in day care, our entire house has been sick on and off. McKayla must be so tired of us- what with all the coughing, sneezing, and incessant crying (Dad and Mommy included) during the month of January. Don't get me wrong...we've had a few highlights, but for the most part, it has not been good.
Just when I thought Bug was all better, when I picked her up from day care yesterday, she was in an awful mood. AWFUL. Not even Mommy could get a smile out of her. She went right to bed at 6p.m. and woke up on and off until 12a.m. In the middle somewhere, she greeted Dad from work with some throw up. THROW UP! I've seen Bug spit up a massive amount, but never throw up. It was the saddest thing. Then she rested her head on my shoulder and went right to sleep. We monitored her for awhile, hoping that would be the one and only time that night she would throw up and thankfully it was. She just did not want to be alone so I laid her in our bed and just listened to her breathe all night long. Poor thing. I couldn't help, but cry knowing this was the worst she's ever been and I could do nothing to take it away. I prayed so hard for her to just get a little bit of relief this month and when she woke up at 12a.m., she was ALL SMILES. Seriously, like nothing had happened. She is amazing and so strong for someone so tiny! She really is the happiest little sick person. She seems to be all better, but it looks like we might be on our way through the teething stage. Bug's hand is always in her mouth and she's drooling nonstop, and whining all the time for no reason. Well, more than usual, anyway. I hope to get some sort of confirmation from the doctor at next week's 6 month appointment.
Anyway, on Saturday, Uncle Scott surprised us all by flying Tata down to L.A. for Bug's baptism on Saturday. What an amazing blessing to have an Uncle like Scott. He is always there whenever we need him and he is just about the most thoughtful person I've ever met and always puts everyone else before himself. We had to take advantage of the Tata time, so on Sunday we headed to Descanso Gardens.
This is how we ride in the stroller...drinking milk and legs up.
That water is so gross, but isn't the turtle soooo cute?!?!
So pretty...
On this last day of January, I'm hoping to leave all the sickness behind. February, please be good to us. Mommy is in desperate for some rest and is so sad when she, her baby, and hubs are sick.
God Bless,
Kat
