Happy 37 weeks to baby Ella! I'm currently blogging from my sister's computer, while visiting her. Our home computer is just a tad bit too slow and until we get a new one, the blogs will probably be random...whenever I can get to a computer that will support all this blogging nonsense.
I've been on maternity leave exactly one week today and it hasn't been exactly how I thought it would be. I spent the first two days of my leave picking up last minute baby items and stocking up on toiletries so that the hubs and I don't have to leave the apartment for awhile once the baby is born. I'm sure all the errands would have taken a normal person one entire day to accomplish, however, it took this nine month pregnant woman a good 2-3 days. Why? Because after half a day out and about, I'm easily exhausted and need to get home to take a nap and once I've woken up from a nap, it's time to cook dinner and I just can't get myself out of the house anymore. (Just typing that out is pretty exhausting!)
The other night, Daddy-to-be and I had some baby practice time, which consisted of Daddy-to-be practicing putting a diaper on a stuffed bear, dressing it, as well as swaddling and putting it in and out of the bouncer, stroller, etc...all the while, carrying his diaper bag. It was an amusing night and I'm sure you're all jealous you weren't a part of it. After he had done it all, I was pretty sad I didn't get it on video. Practice makes perfect, right?
I'm slowly becoming more immobile every week and I'm thinking I should get everything done soon because by the end of next week, you'll probably have to roll me around! (No joke.)
This morning, my sister accompanied me to the CHP station to get approval on the installation of the car seat that Wyatt and my brother installed. As soon as Officer John opened the back door he said, "Well, that's wrong and unsafe." SAD TIMES. I then spent a good half hour with Officer John, learning the ins and outs of the Chicco car seat and reinstalling it over 6 times. Again, practice makes perfect, right? :) Now it's time to show Daddy-to-be how to install it. Wish me luck!
Anyhoo...here's another updated picture. Whoa, Mama! (Please excuse the stretch marks! It's just another good sign that baby Ella's growing.)
God Bless,
Kat

You look beautiful Kat, I see NO stretch marks! I love that line: "Well, that's wrong and unsafe" =) Thanks for the laugh!
