I have very few memories of my childhood, but some things just stick. Below is a chat conversation I had the other day, with a friend I reconnected with (via Facebook, of course!) from elementary school. Because of the content of this conversation, I have chosen not to mention her name. :)
ME:
Friend:
go!
ME:
when we were in 4th grade i think your youngest sister was just born...
Friend:
yes!
ME:
and your dad had a truck parked in front of the house (your house)
Friend:
wow, ur good
ME:
and we were sitting in the bed of the truck and you told me a piece of information about giving birth that i will never forget and has scarred me for life..
Friend:
oh dear, wat was it ? :/
ME:
you told me that when women give birth, sometimes they pee or poop on the baby!
Friend:
hahahahahahaahhaahahahahahahahaha. omg! that happened to my mom! hahahahahaha
ME:
and so i have always been scared to have one. hahaha
Friend:
im in tears!
ME:
i know! you told me she pooped on your sister! hahahaha!
Friend:
thats hysterical! hahahaha. omg she's gonna kill me!
ME:
and since then anytime anyone has mentioned giving birth i always add that bit of information :) i've been informing people since the 4th grade. i was HORRIFIED
Friend:
HAHA!!! OH NO! omg. i havent laughed this hard in so long
ME:
but don't worry...i only add "it's true, my gf told me it happened to her mom" IF they don't believe me
Friend:
oh good. hahahaha
ME:
you taught me a thing or two!
Friend:
now that we're fb friends you can be like...thats her! hahahaha
ME:
HAHAHAHAH
Friend:
that is so funny
Apparently you can really have an impact on someone even at a very young age. :)
God Bless,
Kat
