I am so lucky to have great in-laws. This Labor Day weekend, Wyatt and I took a road trip to Yreka, CA to visit Dad, Mickie, and the Bagley family. We had an amazing weekend!
This is what was in front of me the entire trip up north.
We took a stop in Dunsmuir, about 45 minutes from Yreka. Burger Barn was apparently the most happenin' place to be in Dunsmuir. :/
Quick stop at the junior college Wyatt attended.
Back road to Dad & Mickie's house.
Painted on the building behind the Catholic church.
This was an animal-filled trip to say the least. #1: Itty bitty bobcat.
#2: Wild turkey on the front lawn.
There was also the unseen bear that left it's droppings on the lawn, as well as the coyotes at night! EEK!
Children playing in the middle of the kitchen. Yes, that big kid in the back too!
Burping contest. Kaiya wins!
Wyatt's sister, Heather has three amazing little girls.
Kaiya growing up...
Rylee now has a brace face!
Mady and her baby blue eyes!
Hanging out in the backyard while waiting for the BBQ.
Playing in the "wild".
Love for Uncle Wyatt...
Wyatt's stepmom, Mickie ("Nana" to the girls)...
Mmmmm....
Jackson is a human.
Wyatt's dad and Rylee...
An old drawing Wyatt did in high school.
Original home of Dressler Heating & Air.
Stopped by the train museum in Montague...
Good ol' Mrs. Montague
Wyatt does not look happy.
Bye, bye Montague Railroad Museum!
A LONG time ago, Yreka had a Chinatown and this was the Chinese cemetary...
A real-life version of the old man from "Up".
This view never gets old.
Goin' for a ride...
Coffee break...
Before heading back to SoCal, we stopped by Wyatt's Grandma Formeller's grave and made her place a bit brighter with some frsh flowers.
I'm so lucky to have such a great relationship with Wyatt's family and cannot feel anymore at home than I do when I am with them. It's as though they've always been a part of my family!
God Bless,
Kat
