Best Investment EVER.

Happy Saturday, all!  Look at that- I'm blogging on a Saturday.  This is rare.  We're at my parents' house, which means Mama is busy playing with Bug so I have roughly half an hour to get all this information out to you before I need to actually tend to my own baby.  So get ready for lots of pictures. Bug spent half this week sick, which meant I stayed home from work for three days until she got better.  I guess the rule of thumb, according to the doctor, is that you keep a sick baby home one day after they're feeling better.  So if she feels good on day two, she stays home on day three and then goes to day care again. That way, you can pretty much bet on it that she won't be spreading her germs.  I wanted to avoid sending her back to infect everyone else because a new version of the cold will just come right back at her in a couple weeks.  The doctor was right- you can expect your kid to get sick once every other month when they're in day ca...

Peek-a-Boo!

This weekend was full of plain ol' F-U-N. Bug's first trip to Santa Monica Pier.  She was pretty unsure about the sand...  ...and the water.  She could not take her eyes away from the water.  Maybe the roaring sound of the waves freaked her out.  If I was that little, it might have the same affect on me too!  Itty bitty feet in some sand.  Not okay.  Daddy caught Mommy lovin' on Bug. :)  I can smoosh her face because it's smooshable.  She likes it. Tangent:  On Friday I woke up and decided that after almost two years of no haircuts, I would chop off my hair.  It has become impossible to contain and I've been afraid of cutting it off because it takes forever to maintain and with a new baby, that was the last thing on my list. Well, now that Bug is officially 7 months, she's given me the courage (and time!) to fix my hair.  You'd think this wouldn't be that exciting, but for...
