Happy 6 months to our baby Bug! (Check out this pic! If looks could kill, right?)
::Sigh:: What can I say? There are a few more developments these days. All the milestones seem to be coming so quickly and I can't seem to remember them all, but I'm going to try just for this one blog... :P
First, Bug has become quite fascinated with her feet. The plus side is that it keeps her preoccupied. The down side is that she spends a lot of time bending down trying to reach them, therefore making practicing sitting upright pretty difficult (not gonna to lie to you).
Second, crying in the middle of the night has become fairly routine. She is the loudest sleeper in the history of sleepers! She wails mid-sleep and since it's begun, there seems to be no end in sight. To make it worse, remember that cute little Bug that used to wake up so happy? Well, she no longer exists. Bug is now the grouchiest of the grouchiest of morning people (second to Dad, of course!). She now yells when she is trying to wake herself up and it lasts a pretty long time and with her voice getting louder every day, this can't be good for our poor neighbors. However, as soon as she opens her eyes, everything is better. Just like that! It looks like the only morning people in our household are Mommy and McKayla. Sad times.
Third, we are starting solids for real this time. Attempt #1 failed for many reasons- 1. Dad was not focused because he lost his camera. (I'll save that story for another blog post.) and 2. I couldn't tell if Bug was sick or reacting to the 1 tablespoon of rice cereal I had given her so I opted to postpone solids completely until I spoke with the doctor...today. After speaking with Dr. Nish, I feel fully prepared to start this new transition into solids. Solids, here we come! (Wish us luck! Although, with this hungry monster on our hands, I'm pretty sure this will be one of the easier transitions we'll have to make.)
Today, Bug had her 6th month appointment with Dr. Nish. That's right- the bagillionth (that's right, I said it) round of vaccines. She was such a trooper! (Mommy on the other hand, not so much. Thank goodness for Dad being there to help us all!) Here are her 6th month stats:
Height: 26 inches
Weight: 15 lbs. 9 ounces- I swear it feels (and looks!) like more.
Here are some pics! Seriously, this has got to be more than 15 lbs. 9 ounces, right?
Waiting for Dr. Nish to come in for the shots. So happy. Oh, how things change so quickly.
Just for fun pics...
After doing some major socializing at my friend, Nicole's baby shower, Bug went to Ninang Angela and Ninong Louie's house for some major nap time.
So happy that this girl is all healthy and happy! Okay, so who's up for some more 6 month photos? There were SO MANY to choose from, I just did not feel like it was right to keep them from all of you!
God Bless,
Kat

Can't wait to see you again, Bug!!! Love, love, love you!!!
