D. Family Coffee Break

Yes, we saw U2 in concert.  Now, U2 is not a band that I would have even considered paying to see in concert.  I was bout 9 years old at the peak of their career, which seems to still be doing really well.  I went to the concert thinking that it would be a great time to spend with my sister, her husband, my sister-in-law, and my brother, who is a HUGE U2 fan. However, last minute, he couldn't make it.  So our friends, Claudia and Luke came! After seeing U2 live, now I know why....A-MAZ-ING. 8 months preggers and I'm headed to a concert. I'm sure the baby appreciated all the noise. Twins! Awesome seats! Yeah, Lenny Kravitz opened for U2.  That's an opening act?  AMAZING. Now, for some video highlights... God Bless, Kat

Week 31 has not been the best week, folks.  It feels like my tummy has been stretched to its limits!  Can it get any bigger?  Well, I'm sure it can, but in the last week, I feel like there is absolutely no elasticity left!  It is a true miracle that a baby is inside of me!    What has baby Ella been up to?  She has been consistently dancing inside, giving this mom to be no sleep AT ALL.  (Again, good practice.)  Every time I fall asleep, I wake up to some VERY hard kicks. Ella also seems to be hanging pretty low, which is making sitting pretty tough.  I've now moved into the casual and lazy "lean back" position in every chair I sit in and have nowhere to place my hands, but on my tummy, which only leads to a lot of rubbing, which then leads to me poking at Ella, which then leads to more movement.  Although, at this point, I'm not sure how much more moving she can do!  I kind of feel bad for this baby...I'm sure all she ...

"WHOA!"  <--- That was my reaction when I came across this photo.    This was taken about 6 months into our relationship and I cannot believe how much we've changed (physically, anyway). Look at how lean we both are!  This is amazing to me, considering at the time, I didn't think I was anywhere near "lean".  Perhaps pregnancy has allowed me to view myself from a different perspective- a skinnier one.  Hahaha.   No matter how different we look physically, I'm still amazed that we've still got as much passion and love for each other as the day we met.  This guy still gives me butterflies when he talks to me and still makes me feel like I'm floating on air when he kisses me.  Did I luck out, or what?!?!?!? It's been a very busy year and May and June are no exception to the plethora of activities we've had this year.  We've been busy with lots of weddings!  I'm roughly 30.5 weeks pregnant and still on the move (on the dance floor and on the beach!).  Baby Ella has been kicking and punching away and according to the doctor, is slowly making her way downward.  Today, she's chosen to stay horizontal which means her feet are kicking my ribs and her butt (still on the right side) is sticking out.  We're getting so close! As for how I'm feeling...tired...very, very tired.  Our year has been jam packed with fun, but I'm beginning to reach a wall.  You know...the one where I'm finally beginning to huff and puff while not only going up the stairs, but just walking period...the one where I am just exhausted.  The doctor confirmed at my last appointment (not that I needed it), that I have just been too busy, on my feet for too long and not resting enough....

The other day we couldn't find our little BIG kitty.  So we searched all around the house and found this booger in an unexpected place.  She found a new hiding spot!  I cannot believe her new spot is on top of all my bags.  She is so cute!  I know, I know...I'm a cat person...but you have to admit...she's cute! Memorial Day weekend we hosted my sister's bridal shower.  I discovered that it's amazing what people can draw with their opposite hand or blindfolded.  :)  Here are some pics!
