A cone, two kids, and The Bowl

A few weeks ago, Wyatt and I went to dinner and he surprised me with tickets to the Carrie Underwood concert at the Hollywood Bowl.  (What a sweet guy!)  So, two weeks ago, that's exactly where we went. (Yes, we sat that far away, which really didn't matter because the sound was AMAZING!) Last weekend, we went to a 2nd birthday party for ...(get ready)...my parents' neighbor's son's daughter, Bella.  (Did you catch that?)  :)  She is just about the cutest thing! We even got to see our ringbearer, Gavin, at Bella's party! He was pretty excited to see us?  (Or not.) After a recent trip to the veternarian, McKayla has officially been diagnosed with allergies.  Yup...to her environment.  She has been ripping out her fur from her front left paw and has been chewing on the exposed skin.  The veternarian recommended she wear a "cat cone" (basically a flimsy version of a dog cone).  After quite a bit of struggle, Wyatt and ...

Conversation clips between husband and wife

They say the longer you've been married, the less words that need to actually be spoken to convey a message to your spouse.  For example, a woman's glare can tell a man a world of things, from "Come here, lover boy" to "Shut you mouth or you're on the couch".  The male interpretation of such a glare may vary depending on each individual woman.  I would bet the latter, though. Even though we have yet to hit that mark just yet, our conversations are still pretty interesting. Blogging Wyatt:  "Why do you always write about me in your blogs?" (As if that's a bad thing!)  Me:  "I write about my life and to be honest, I write about our daughter [the cat] too.  You and the cat are my life.  Therefore, I write about you both and I'm sure when I have children, I'll write about them.  Until then, you will suffice because you happen to be the most entertaining part of my day.  [FYI, if you do want me to stop writing about ...
Sometimes I miss my nieces.   Sometimes I miss them A LOT . Today is one of those days. ::SIGH:: [tear] God Bless, Kat

Kids in a basket

Social media is a part of our everyday lives.  With the rise of websites such as Facebook and Myspace, we are all finding that our pasts have a way of presenting themselves in our...present?  This morning I logged onto my Facebook account only to find that I had, yet again, been "tagged" in another photo from my past.  This is what was posted for the world to see... My sister, Angela [left] and me [right].  We're kind of cute, right?  My only explanation of this is that God must have sent us from Heaven, in baskets, to my parents' front door.  Who could resist these two cuties?  :) God Bless, Kat

Labor Day Weekend 2010

I am so lucky to have great in-laws.  This Labor Day weekend, Wyatt and I took a road trip to Yreka, CA  to visit Dad, Mickie, and the Bagley family.  We had an amazing weekend! This is what was in front of me the entire trip up north. We took a stop in Dunsmuir, about 45 minutes from Yreka.  Burger Barn was apparently the most happenin' place to be in Dunsmuir. :/ Quick stop at the junior college Wyatt attended. Back road to Dad & Mickie's house. Painted on the building behind the Catholic church. This was an animal-filled trip to say the least.  #1: Itty bitty bobcat. #2: Wild turkey on the front lawn. There was also the unseen bear that left it's droppings on the lawn, as well as the coyotes at night!  EEK! Children playing in the middle of the kitchen.  Yes, that big kid in the back too! Burping contest.  Kaiya wins! Wyatt's sister, Heather has three amazing little girls. Kaiya growing up... Rylee now has a brace face! Mady ...
