You know what's not funny? Starting your laundry at 8p.m., falling asleep on the couch, and then waking up at 12:35a.m., to the cold, forgotten laundry that's been sitting there since 8p.m. True story. For about a week, I've been in a rut. I've been meaning to wanting to write a blog entry, but had no clue where to begin. And now, at 12:38p.m., all I want to do is sleep, but now I have to wait for the laundry and I feel oddly inspired to write about it. Talk about divine inspiration. FINALLY! I'm sure a post written this late at night is going to make complete sense. (I apologize in advance. You're only through the first paragraph. You still have time to stop reading.)
Oh, the pitfalls of apartment living- communal laundry. I can't just forget my laundry in the washer and go to bed. Good thing it's not the weekend (a.k.a. prime time for laundry), or else someone would have taken it upon themselves to remove our clothes from INSIDE the washer and put them ON TOP. I mean, three other loads of laundry could have been done while I was asleep, snoring on the couch, putting forth my best efforts in spending quality time with the hubs.
Why the big deal about laundry anyway? Because! In this household, laundry is not this mother's primary responsibility. It's the hubs'. And he's good great at it and the rare occasion I take over, I fail. The bad part is, I was the one that actually initiated doing laundry at 8p.m. on a Tuesday night. Fail again. As Buggy would say, "Next time I'll try better."
Anyway, now that I'm completely over the laundry mishap, let's move forward.
Cousin Ethan had another awesome birthday planned by his awesome and creative mommy!
My kid is on a mission to grow. So she's been trying all veggies and new foods in an attempt to get bigger. She doesn't always like it, but I do truly appreciate the effort. Obviously her efforts are working. She is catching up to Ethan...kind of. :)
Halloween was fun. Minus the whole pumpkin patch thing. We had ourselves a very tired Bug and Lo. So that trip was cut short. I did manage to see some signs of fun (although short-lived).
Ah, the sight of two parents and their two year old. I remember this quite well, how we can do from this one second...
...to this.
Over Halloween weekend Auntie Kathryn came into town. We love her yearly visits! This visit, however, Bug really attached herself to Auntie Kathryn. It was so heartbreaking to see her say goodbye.
The queen and her Ninja Turtle.
This is THE CREW. Can I even say that? Do they even need a name? They are the coolest bunch of kids in the world. They go way back...to 2012. So basically their entire lives.
Score! The laundry is done! Thanks for stopping by and I PROMISE more updates through the holidays and near year...and perhaps not at 1a.m.
God Bless,
Kat
