D. Family Coffee Break

So, in an effort to post a bit more (let's face it, 2014 has been an epic fail for me in terms of updating this blog), I've downloaded an app for my blog that allows me to update whenever I want, long or short blog post. I'm actually updating from my bed right this second while the hubs is sleeping. (I was obviously not utilizing my smart phone to the best of it's ability.) So here I go... God must have really been looking out for me because he blessed me with a kid who loves to do laundry! (Such a weak spot for me.) Every week Bug insists of helping us sort and start the laundry. Woohoo! I'm not going to lie- she is fantastic at sorting! Check it out! 75% of this sorting is all her. In what felt like a heartbeat, we had ourselves a 3 year old.  Amazing.  When they say time flies, they're not exaggerating.  It really does fly.  I hope that my lack of blogging hasn't left any of you feeling abandoned or without a Buggy update.  (If you're following me on FB or Instagram, you haven't missed a thing!)  On Bug's birthday, Daddy and I took the day off work to take Bug to the movies and to the pool!  This summer has been the most "summer-like" since I was a kid.  I can't remember having this much fun.  We spent every Friday after school at the local wading pool with school friends, church friends, and cousins!  What better way to beat the heat, right?  I am so grateful to live in a community that values family so much that they provide an endless amount of kid-friendly activities.  There is always something going on.  A big goal for us this year was to help Bug become more active outdoors and I really do thi...

We're quickly approaching Buggy's 3rd birthday and I am both excited and terrified at thought of having a preschooler.  That's right, a PRESCHOOLER!  Our lives have been turned upside down this year.  Not to our surprise, Bug has continued to develop into an unbelievably witty, funny, routine-based, [most of the time] rational human being.  She is still more cautious than most of the other kids her age, but she's slowly getting the courage to jump more freely and run with less caution.  I think these are both really great things, considering how calculated she is most of the time.   I think in my last post, I addressed the hardship of having such an unbelievably witty child who questions everything and at the time, tested us for the sake of driving us insane (obviously---ha!) and the emotional and mental toll it took (for at least a month or so, anyway).  Well, after I wrote that blog entry, Bug did a complete 180.  All of a sudden, both in a...
